With Chronosync I have to disable the synching schedule for a particular drive if it is not plugged in, otherwise I get error messages, not that that is very hard - you just have to tick a checkbox, but I am missing Synk Pro for it user friendliness and interface (hint to anyone who wants to pick it up and keep developing it - or make Chronosync more like Synk Pro). If a drive wasn’t plugged in, it didn’t try to synchronise it. I liked Synk Pro’s interface better, and it would run in the background without letting you know what was going on unless there was a problem. No problems except that I really miss Synk Pro, which I must have used for 10 yrs or so (and which is no longer being updated and only works up to El Capitan). I use the application to keep backups of my various external drives, for video editing etc. Lastly, the ChronoMonitor utility allows you to track sync and backup operation activity from your iOS device. With InterConneX, you can even connect to your ChronoAgent-enabled Mac back at the office and browse or retrieve files that you left behind.
